 Disability Accessibility

The Brisbane Showgrounds is designed to provide exceptional services and facilities to all visitors.

The Royal ICC is wheelchair accessible on both levels and designated car parking spaces are located on ground level. Wheelchairs are also available from the Customer Relations team.

Individual accessibility restrooms are located on both the upper and lower levels of the Royal ICC and there is one ambulant toilet within each bathroom location.

Car parking

There are 10 separate car parking facilities within the Brisbane Showgrounds, with a total capacity of almost 2,500 vehicles.

Parking is available on weekdays and event days (excluding public holidays) and costs:

  • *$11 per day when entered before 7am (early bird rate) 

  • $13 per day from 7am to midnight

Parking can be paid by cash or EFTPOS upon entry.

Public Transport

Taxis

The main taxi companies operating in Brisbane are Black and White Cabs (ph. 13 32 22) and Yellow Cabs (ph. 13 19 24).

There are taxi zones located outside Rydges Hotel and The George Bar and Bistro on King Street.

Rideshare

Rideshare apps, such as Uber and GoCatch, enable you to connect with a ride. The driver will pick you up from your selected location and payment is cashless.

Trains

Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley railway stations are less than a 10 minute walk from the Brisbane Showgrounds.

Buses

Buses access the streets surrounding the Brisbane Showgrounds regularly.

You can also choose to ride the CityGlider buses, which provide high-frequency transport from West End to Teneriffe and Ashgrove to Stones Corner, while the free City Loop bus service is perfect for exploring the CBD.

Cloakroom facility

Located off the main Convention Centre foyer, providing storage for visitors’ and delegates’ belongings.

First aid room / parenting facilities

First Aid rooms are located close to Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre Customer Service desks.
Parent rooms can be found around the Exhibition Centre and Convention Centre.

Prayer Room

Separated male and female prayer rooms including washing facilities are located in the Convention Centre off the main foyer.

Smoking policy

Smoking is not permitted inside any area of the venue.

Wi-Fi

Visitors to Royal International Convention Centre  have access to free wireless internet.

Please note: Wireless is a less secure service and download speeds vary depending on the number of users at any one time. Wireless signal strength can also vary depending on geographical location and other items interfering with the signal.
